More than any other place in Washington, Red Mountain is terroir-driven.   Its soil type and climate, coupled with the elevation produce perhaps the most identifiable and broadly excellent red grapes in the state.  Our vineyard, at the extreme highest elevation on the west end of the AVA is very special in that it is high enough to cool off at night.  Coupled with the spectacular conditions for ripening, the cooling effect of the high elevation produces nearly flawless wines with a natural acidity that is missing in nearly any other AVAwith similar growing conditions.

The expression of the soils and climate are brought together in this San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition gold medal winner in such a manner that you can taste the depth and length of the Eastern Washington summer in each glass, and catch a glimpse of the promise to come.
