2011 Viognier
The aroma and taste of this white are due to the difficult and time consuming
task of keeping the fermenting wine at the extreme lower end of yeast
tolerance. While time consuming, fruit flavors and aromas are preserved at the
fresh fruit level closest to the grapes at picking. This memorable white is great
with fresh fruit, cheese and appetizers, but truly smashing with prawns, shrimp
and crab. With a .65 RS, it is a bit off dry, and should be served at around 51
degrees, or slightly chilled. $14
2011 Chenin Blanc
Fermented to dryness, this wine is sharp and the acidity well balanced. It is
great by itself, or with fruit or seafood. Salmon, halibut and oysters are a hit
with chenin blanc.
Limited supply. $14
2011 Muscat Canelli
This unique grape has a chemistry of taste and aroma that is different from
other white grapes, and as such, it is a unique and special companion to most
any desert, but especially fruit-based ones. It is a bit off-dry so that it does not
end up bitter on the palate when paired with sweet deserts. Wonderful chilled
and enjoyed by itself also. $14
Sauvignon Blanc
Melon and peach, passionfruit and gooseberries with a hint of fig. A real
summer treat. Goes great with fresh fruit and cheeses. $15
Blanc d'Noir
The Pinot Noir grapes used in this delicious off dry white wine are pressed
immediately after crushing, and the resulting wine is vinted as a white. This is a
classic base wine for champagnes, and is a rich and complex partner to seafood
main dishes, and a great toasting companion. Enjoy. $15
